Coming January 19th, 2024 CE, in a limited edition of 100 copies on heavy 200 gram red vinyl via FolkWorld Records, Germany! The record will come in a full color printed outer sleeve with inserts including a double sided lyric sheet and metallic gold and silver printed vinyl stickers. Awen - This World And Its Spirits
This World And Its Spirits is the most radical and experimental record from Awen so far, in content and concept.
Comprised of 13 titled song tracks featuring vocals sung and in recitation over acoustic instrumentation, electronic atmosphere, and percussive elements and 8 untitled and unlisted ‘ghost’ tracks of an experimental nature augmenting and leading the journey of the listening experience through worlds seen and unseen.
Instrumentation featured includes:
Antique pump organ, acoustic guitars, electric bass, copper rommelpot, coyote skull, chains, gong, steel plates, oil drums, bouzouki, toms and snare drums, bowed psaltery, DC motor, singing bowl, canes on oak flooring, hunting horn, and more.
Awen is Erin Powell, Katrin X, Wes Radvansky, and Per Nilsson.
Guest musician Jerome Alexandre featured on “Terminus”.
